After reading the informational briefs, I have a better understanding of the necessity of multilingual signs at the main entrance as well as in hallways and schoolyards. Students and families need to feel welcomed and should know they belong to a school and having signage in different languages supports this researched belief. Research shows that parents involved in the greater school community, have a positive influence on their children’s lives. Parents shouldn’t feel frustrated upon entering a school facility and multilingual signs would ease this frustration.
