TESOL Speakers Series with Blanca Pacheco and Carmela Apolonio

The team here at Transforming School LIFE is excited to welcome our next installment of our TESOL Speaker Series here at Temple’s College of Education!

Blanca Pacheco of the New Sanctuary Movement will be joining us to talk about myths and realities of immigration and legalization, as well as challenges new immigrants face when first arriving in Philadelphia.

Carmela Apolonio is an immigrant leader from Mexico currently living in Sanctuary in Philadelphia. She is a prominent figure in the immigrant rights movement, and has organized several rallies, sit-ins, and other demonstrations.

The event takes place Tuesday, March 17th at 3:30 PM in Kiva Auditorium which is in Ritter Hall Annex (Temple’s College of Education building).

Hope to see you there 🙂
